Editorial policy

The Anuario del Centro de Investigación y Estudios Políticos is an open-access academic journal that does not charge fees for the submission, processing, or publication of scholarly work. Its purpose is to disseminate innovative research in the field of political science and in related disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches.

Below are the general principles governing the submission of contributions (for detailed manuscript preparation requirements, see the Guidelines for Authors).

Originality

Articles submitted for consideration must be unpublished and original.

The only exception applies to texts based on material previously presented in academic conferences, theses, or final graduation projects, provided they have not been formally published. In such cases, authors must inform the Editorial Team through the journal’s editorial management system (OJS) at the time of submission.

Commitment to exclusivity

Submitting a manuscript to the Anuario implies the authors' commitment not to submit it simultaneously to other publications.

Language

The Anuario is edited and published in Spanish, and is dedicated to disseminating academic work relevant to the Spanish-speaking context of Latin America. However, manuscripts written in English may be considered when the subject matter is of substantial relevance within the journal’s thematic scope.

Article funding

Authors must identify the institution that provided financial support for conducting the research and/or preparing the article. A brief description of the sponsor’s role in different stages of the study—such as design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, manuscript writing, and the decision to submit—must also be included. If no external funding was received, this should be explicitly stated.

Inclusive language

Inclusive language acknowledges diversity, communicates respect for all individuals, demonstrates sensitivity to differences, and promotes equal opportunity. Articles must not contain statements suggesting the superiority of one person over another based on race, gender, culture, or any other characteristic, and inclusive language must be used throughout the manuscript.

Declaration of interest

All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with third parties and/or organizations that may unduly influence the outcomes of the research. Potential conflicts of interest include current employment, consulting activities, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, shared patents or registrations, fellowships, or competitive funding.
