Resumen
El objetivo de este artículo es presentar el itinerario de la ética ecológica y la ética animal considerando las divergencias y convergencias teóricas en el ámbito de la política medioambiental con el fin de integrarlas en una nueva democracia capaz de enfrentar la crisis ecológica y climática que afecta la naturaleza y la humanidad. El problema de investigación consiste en cómo vincular las diversas teorías ecologistas y animalistas en la política de manera que sean funcionales en la democracia. El método de investigación sigue el enfoque filosófico de deliberación para tratar de integrarlas en clave política de democracia medioambiental. El argumento principal surge del hecho que el ser humano y los animales no-humanos forman parte de la naturaleza según la perspectiva de la ética de la tierra y la discusión se desarrolla en la complementariedad de las teorías que reconocen el valor y los derechos del humano, los animales y la naturaleza en un principio de justicia. En conclusión, el artículo plantea las líneas teóricas fundamentales de convergencia política de la ética ecológica y la ética animal para fundar una nueva democracia competente ante los actuales desafíos ecológicos y climáticos.
