Se rastrean posibles vínculos entre autores del romanticismo alemán y el pensamiento saussuriano. En específico, se revisan obras de Schleiermacher, Novalis, y W. Humboldt. El principal texto de referencia de F. Saussure es el Cours de linguistique générale (1916). Asimismo, se considera la relevancia de Albertine Necker de Saussure (tía abuela de F. Saussure) en la relación F. Saussure-romanticismo.
