About the Journal

REVISTA MÉDICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE COSTA RICA  OFFICIAL WEBSIT

ISSN 1659-2441

It is an electronic scientific journal of academic-teaching nature, non-profit and free access.
Its objective is the publication of scientific work in the health area, we intend to be a tool for 
the dissemination of medical research in Costa Rica, Central America and Latin America. We publish 
scientific articles in any of the areas of health, from basic science to clinical.

We are a biannual publication, one issue is presented in April and the other in October of each 
year. We have been publishing uninterruptedly since September 2007.

This publication is funded by the University of Costa Rica and the entire editorial process and 
the publication of articles is free and at no cost to the authors.

We receive articles for publication throughout the year and at any time by email, see below.

We publish only original articles with an emphasis on research work

Before submitting your work to the Journal, please check that it complies with all the 
standards stipulated in the author's guides found in the "about the Journal" section. 
Also, remember that you must attach a letter of originality, it is an essential requirement. 
You can download the template for the originality letter in the about section and then go to 
the authors guide. It is in pdf. so you must scan it, fill in the data, sign it and send it 
along with the work to be published.
