Introduction: Movement behaviors are associated with indicators of child health at the psychosocial, cognitive, and physical levels. There is low adherence to recommendations, evidencing knowledge gaps in middle-income countries. The objective was to evaluate the sociodemographic and anthropometric determinants of the dyad associated with compliance with the recommendations of the 24-hour movement guidelines in Mexican infants under six months of age. Methodology: Cross-sectional analytical study in 322 mother-child dyads. A data sheet and a validated parental diary were used to record the infant's movement behaviors over 24 hours. Binary logistic regression models were constructed (1 = compliant and 0 = noncompliant). Results: 16.7% of infants were overweight or obese. Only 4.3% met all four physical activity recommendations. Maternal factors (occupation and marital status) and infant factors (age and z-score for body mass index) were associated with physical activity behaviors (R² = .093; p < .001) and non-screen time (R² = .128; p < .001). Conclusions: There is low adherence to movement recommendations for infants under 6 months of age. A key factor is to implement interventions that consider the determinants of the dyad and target primary caregivers to encourage physically active behaviors.
