Determinantes sociodemográficos y antropométricos asociados al cumplimiento de las recomendaciones de movimiento en lactantes mexicanos

Resumen

Introducción: Los comportamientos de movimiento se asocian con indicadores de salud infantil a nivel psicosocial, cognitivo y físico. Existe una baja adherencia a las recomendaciones, evidenciando vacíos de conocimientos en países de medianos ingresos. El Objetivo fue evaluar los determinantes sociodemográficos y antropométricos de la díada que se asocian con el cumplimiento de las recomendaciones de las guías de movimiento de 24 horas en lactantes mexicanos menores de seis meses. Metodología: Estudio analítico-transversal en 322 díadas de madres e hijos. Se utilizó una cédula de datos y un diario parental validado para registrar los comportamientos de movimiento del lactante en 24 horas. Se construyeron modelos de regresión logística binaria (1= cumple y 0= no cumple). Resultados: El 16.7% de los lactantes presentó sobrepeso u obesidad. Solo el 4.3% cumplió con las cuatro recomendaciones de movimiento. Los factores maternos (ocupación y estado civil) y del lactante (edad e índice de masa corporal z), se asociaron con los comportamientos de actividad física (R2= .093; p<.001) y la no exposición a pantallas (R2= .128; p<.001).  Conclusiones: Existe baja adherencia a las recomendaciones de movimiento en lactantes menores de 6 meses. Un factor clave es implementar intervenciones que consideren los determinantes de la diada y que se dirijan a cuidadores primarios para fomentar comportamientos físicamente activos.
