Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author's curriculum vitae was attached (summarized to less than 300 words).
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; 12 points of font size; italics are used instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all the illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places of the text, instead of at the end.
  • The shipment is in a format compatible with Microsoft Word.
  • The article has a summary in Spanish and English.
  • The keywords are included in Spanish and English.

Submissions criteria

You can locate our rules to publish in Revista Educación via this link: Guide for Submission and Evaluation of Articles. This document includes information on how to submit the manuscript format and what are the requirements regarding the content of the types of articles.

To send your article you must complete and submit the following statement duly signed: Affidavit

Revista Educación works with the APA (American Psychological Association) style, 7° Edition, for the preparation of quotations and references.

Documents. The person(s) author(s) must submit the following documents through the website of the Journal.

  • Article you wish to publish.
  • Brief academic CV.
  • Affidavit that the article is unedited and original, and the assignment of copyrights.


Shipping process. To send documents, go to the website and register as http://revistas.ucr.ac.cr/index.php/educacion/user/register author.

Under the title "Start a new submission", click where indicated and follow the five steps that will be there said.
