Abstract
In this article we present a study of the University of Castilla and the University of León. More concretely we make reference to their teaching staff from he perspective of gender. With the idea in mind that this article serves as a framework of reference we made, in the first place, some reflections on the relationship between gender, formation and the possibilities for access to work. In the second place, we collected some data about the evolution experienced by the Spanish University in connection with the participation of the female faculty. This aspect is also discussed in a excerpt of the article in which attention is focused mainly on Castilla and León higher learning institutions. Lastly, we describe the research done on gender and teaching performance in the aforementioned university environment during the 2001 to 2002 period. We offer the corresponding results.Comments
