Abstract
Results are presented of research conducted in the area of San Ramon by midwives whose objective was todetermine the risk of mother from child approach and legal risk in the domestic scenery in order to establish
strategies to reduce health problems. This is a retrospective study. The population makes up 80 mothers of
adolescents referred by health staff, they voluntarily accepted a visit by midwives. They developed an instrument
consisting of 5 parts that allowed the collection of data. The variables analyzed were age, family composition,
fitness and obstetric risk biological and psychosocial and nursing interventions. The results indicate that the
average age of the girls was 16 years, 73.75% were single, most Costa Ricans, 92.5% have insurance by the state,
83.5% were controlled in pregnancy Care Level I, 45% was classified as high risk by the combination of factors.
We conclude that the assessment of risk in pregnant adolescents is an important task of midwives. A household
level can do so in full, evaluating the factors, biological, psychological, social and environmental from a family
approach and supporting pregnant women through the interventions to prevent maternal and child mortality.
