Abstract
In the metropolitan area of Guadalajara (ZMG), youth cultures seek to appropriate public spaces in which to recreate their elements of collective identity in an exercise of inclusion and manifestation of social diversity, premises of a full social and cultural citizenship. However, in the social and community sphere, police repression and incomprehension of large sectors of the population suffer. In the present work we review the case of three youth cultures that inhabit the city: cholos, rastas and skatos.
