Abstract
The International Commission on the History of Geological Sciences (INHIGEO) was establis- hed by the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) in 1967, and is also affiliated with the International Union of the History and Philosophy of Sciences (IUHPS). It has 231 members from 46 countries worldwide (data from late 2011, see Figure 1), from which 21 mem- bers are representing 7 Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Venezuela).Comments
