Leadership and Management in Technological Higher Secondary Education

Abstract

Abstract: This article presents the objective of analyzing the factors related to the leadership that give strength and/or limit the management of the Higher Secondary Education (EMS) schools of the General Directorate of Industrial Technological Education and Services (DGETI) in the State of Tlaxcala in Mexico. To date, the corresponding facilities in the state have not been able to rise up the scale of the quality level established for their management, and have remained for almost a decade at the lower levels of the established scale (four levels). The efforts made in this respect in its implementation, have not managed to advance to level 1 of consolidation (desired), its understanding establishes a route toward quality in the model established for its development, with what it gives guarantee to its processes and to the training of its graduates. The research carried out under the quantitative approach, of descriptive and evaluative type, under the survey technique. Teachers in front of the group and managers participated. Among the main results and findings of the research, with respect to motivation, charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration, it is determined that: the academic community, perceives at an acceptable level the motivation received and little knowledge of their individual needs, which impede their total satisfaction in order to increase their leadership and influence in the management of the schools, achieve the path to continuous improvement and bring them to the level of consolidation for the benefit of student education.
