Digital Preservation

Agronomía Mesoamericana uses Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe (LOCKSS) as a digital preservation mechanism, through which distributed copies of the content are created and preserved files are continuously verified and recovered when necessary.

The journal also uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a preservation network developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals managed through Open Journal Systems (OJS).

As an additional backup measure, Agronomía Mesoamericana stores copies of its information on the server of the Fabio Baudrit Moreno Agricultural Experiment Station (EEAFBM) of the University of Costa Rica, as well as in cloud storage services, computers used by the editorial team, and external drives.
