Resumen
La inducción de demanda surge cuando los médicos poseen incentivos para variar la demanda de los consumidores con el fin de maximizar su utilidad. Esta situación se relaciona con la falta de información de los pacientes, potenciándose si una tercera parte (aseguradora) cubre el costo total. En primer lugar se realiza una reseña bibliográfica sobre el tema. Posteriormente se analiza, utilizando herramientas sencillas de teoría de juegos, la existencia o no de inducción de demanda bajo distintos sistemas de pago, encontrando que algunos sistemas no provocan inducción pero sí disminución en la calidad de las prestaciones médicas.Referencias
