Resumen
El objetivo de este artículo es sistematizar y analizar algunas experiencias internacionales de convivencia intergeneracional y sus incipientes reportes de impacto, reconociendo la escasa literatura científica disponible, la necesidad de mayor investigación con rigurosidad metodológica y visión longitudinal, así como la ausencia de una indagación del impacto desde la experiencia subjetiva. Se revisaron programas de cohabitación intergeneracional de España, Francia, Estados Unidos e Israel, aclarando en el estado de la cuestión, la escasez de reportes en otras regiones. Los resultados del análisis identifican, como variables constitutivas de estas experiencias, su estructura, frecuencia de contacto, normas de interacción, comunicación o convivencia, cercanía emocional, intercambio recíproco de apoyos, confianza, expectativa de que el apoyo estará disponible cuando se requiere y apertura emocional. Como conclusión, se propone la necesidad de trascender la visión de la convivencia intergeneracional como meta en el corto plazo, para fomentar la solidaridad intergeneracional como soporte social a largo plazo, así como desarrollar líneas de investigación en el tema.
