Abstract
This study intended to determine the influence of alcohol consumption on the incidence of risky sexual behavior of some students between 18 and 22 years of age attending the University of Costa Rica . Also investigated the influence of self-esteem and knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases in relation to age. To achieve these ends, it created an instrument that involved validation, internal consistency and the creation of an explanatory model, which could prove as independent variables influencing others. The instrument was applied to 96 students at the University of Costa Rica, distributed in equal amounts of men and women. As a main result it was found that higher consumption of alcohol, tend to be much sex, the greater number of sexual partners and greater number of sexual partners known or unknown the same day. So if it is considered risky sexual behavior the presence of these three factors, we can say that alcohol consumption can lead to risky sexual behavior.##plugins.facebook.comentarios##
