Sociologist University professor, poet, currently teaching and researching cultural, political and humanities issues at the University of Costa Rica and is a columnist in the digital media La Revista
She is the author of Las sufragistas de Costa Rica (Editorial of the University of Costa Rica, 1994) and an analysis of the artistic identity of the Costa Rican in La Catedral de San José, an art of cosmic consciousness, doctoral thesis from the Universidad de la Salle , 2011. In 2015 he published with the Editorial Costa Rica New documents of 1948. The proscripts and at the same time the edition of the complete work of Luis Barahona Jiménez by the Editorial of the University of Costa Rica.
She has also written various essays on literary, social, political, historical, and cultural issues, on the political rights of women in Costa Rica, and on Rogelio Fernández Güell.
His poetry books include: Contraatacando (Editorial Costa Rica, 1980; Young Creation Award), Resistencia (Editorial Costa Rica, 1989), Atlántico (Editorial Guayacán, 1994), Tak Mewo (Editorial Andrómeda, 2008), Mesoamérica ( Editorial BBB, 2014), La navigator (Lord Bayron Editions, Madrid, 2015) and in 2019 Puerto poetico of the collective Intelligence publishing house.
Winner of the Ángela Acuña Braun Award (1998) and Best Documentary Award (1999) with Las mujeres del 48, about the civil war in Costa Rica.
