Este ensayo describe la manera como los miste-rios eleusinos propiciaban la soteria o salvación y laepopteia o contemplación entre sus iniciados. Los cultosmistéricos son cosmopolitas y no locales, y están orientadas hacia el individuo, no hacia la colectividad. Losmisterios eleusinos parecían ofrecer prácticas y ritualesque transformaban las vidas de sus iniciados.Citas
