Abstract

Se discuten los retos enfrentados para lograr la conservación de orquídeas en Guatemala, los fac- tores que contribuyen a la pérdida de poblaciones, y los esfuerzos realizados para preservar las especies. Se presentan ejemplos de estrategias que combinan técnicas in situ y ex situ e incluyen aspectos educativos, mitigación de impactos ambientales, rescate y participación comunitaria.
