Editorial process phases

  1. Authors should submit manuscripts via the website platform. They should accompany their manuscript with a letter where it should be clearly stated that the manuscript has not been submitted in any other journal or publication, and that the material contained is original to the authors, accompanied with the copyright form.
  2. Editor applies an automatic system for plagiarism detection (Turnitin), in order to establish whether the manuscript has already been published.
  3. The Editorial Board, via the Editor, will send the manuscript to two, three or four external referees, experts in the area, for a peer review. The manuscript will be accompanied by the forms to the Editor and to the Authors to be filled by the referee. Referees are not paid for their evaluations.
  4. Refereeing process is blind for the authors, but not for the referees.
  5. Once the evaluations are received, they are bindly sent to the authors.
  6. The Editorial Board can take a decision upon acceptance or rejection of a paper with at least two concordant opinions of the referees. In the case of acceptance, the authors will be asked to follow the indications given by the referees for the final version of the manuscript.
  7. Editorial Board decides upon acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on the evaluations. Final decision of publication is taken by the Chief Editor. The total duration of the evaluation process is between 6 and 10 months, from the moment we receive the preprint to its acceptance by the Editorial Board.
  8. The deadlines for the final version of an article in LATEX are: April 30th and September 30th every year.
  9. The Editor will be in charge of the final edition of each manuscript and will send it for approval to the authors.
