Policy on Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Agronomía Mesoamericana, published by the University of Costa Rica, does not charge article processing charges (APCs) at any stage of the editorial process.

In accordance with its open access policy and its commitment to the free dissemination of scientific knowledge, the journal does not charge authors for manuscript submission or preliminary evaluation, peer review, editing, layout, editorial production, or final publication.

Likewise, access to published content is free of charge for readers and institutions, with no financial barriers. All published works are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

This policy reflects Agronomía Mesoamericana’s commitment to an equitable open access publishing model with no charges for authors or readers.
