Author Guidelines

Dear author, before submitting your article, please review the Guidelines for writing academic manuscripts for publication, as well as the tools available on the website.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines, which are found in About the Journal.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • Whenever possible, DOI addresses in the format http://doi.org/ are provided for the references.
  • The text is 1.15 spaced; uses an 11-point font size, with Arial or Times New Roman font; italics are used instead of underlining (except for URL addresses).
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled with their source; furthermore, they are placed in the corresponding locations within the text, rather than at the end.
  • The author confirms that they have read, understand, and agree to the Publishing Agreement, which is found in Tools.
  • The author confirms that they have read, understand, and agree to the application form for the Scientific Journal "Administrar lo Público," which is found in Tools.
  • The author confirms that they have read, understand, and agree to the Sworn Statement for Authors, which is found in Tools.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all images, datasets, and any other material provided with this submission.

Original articles

Original publications: This is the main form of periodic scientific publication. It includes original scientific memoirs, full-length articles, case studies, and preliminary notes that report on: obtained results, descriptions of methods, techniques, and equipment; and present new ideas. A document belongs to this category when it contributes to considerably expanding the knowledge or understanding of a problem and is written in such a way that a competent researcher can repeat the author's experiments, observations, calculations, or theoretical reasoning and judge their conclusions and the accuracy of their work. The minimum length is 9,000 words and the maximum is 10,000 words, including text, tables, and references.

Systematization of interventions

Systematization of interventions: This text processes academic reports in an articulated manner in order to present the main results of a basic or applied research program or project. It uses descriptive narrative to present the report in an abbreviated way, relying on the methods, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to continue inquiring into the subject. The minimum length is 4,500 words and the maximum is 5,000 words, including text, tables, and references.

Systematization of teaching cases: This category presents the results of teaching or social action projects, showcasing information related to the outcomes and impacts these projects have on the intervened population. This visualization of the incidence and sense of opportunity in the target population aims to document the activities that strengthen the University-Society relationship. The minimum length is 4,500 words and the maximum is 5,000 words, including text, tables, and references.

Systematization of social outreach: This category presents the results of social outreach projects, showcasing information related to the outcomes and impacts these projects have on the intervened population. Review Studies

Review articles: This is a production on a specific topic in which previously published information is gathered, analyzed, and discussed. The author must take into account all published works that have advanced the topic, or that would have advanced it if they had been taken into consideration. The maximum length is 8,000 words, including text, tables, and references.
