The Revista Científica Administrar lo Público (ALP) is now part of the DOAJ!

We are pleased to announce that the Revista Científica Administrar lo Público, published by the Universidad de Costa Rica through its Centro de Investigación y Capacitación en Administración Pública (CICAP), has been incorporated into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

DOAJ is an independent, widely recognized international directory that brings together open-access academic journals committed to quality, editorial transparency, and good publishing practices. Its mission is to increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage, and impact of quality academic research, regardless of discipline, language, or geographical origin.

What does this indexation mean for our authors?

Incorporation into DOAJ:

  • increases the international visibility and discoverability of articles;
  • facilitates the location of content by academic communities, libraries, repositories, and information services;  
  • strengthens confidence in the journal's editorial, ethical, and open-access policies;  
  • expands the possibilities for reading, consulting, using, and citing published research;  
  • reaffirms the journal’s commitment to barrier-free publication and internationally recognized standards.  

DOAJ only admits open-access journals that meet criteria related to transparency, licensing, immediate availability of texts, and good editorial practices.
