THE ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONALS IN SOCIOLOGY OF COSTA RICA AND ITS IMPACT ON DEMOCRACY IN COSTA RICA

Abstract

This article discussed the role that the State assigns to the Association of Professionals in
Sociology of Costa Rica (cpscr), which was created by Act of the Republic as a private organization,
with public purposes, characteristic that confers a responsibility in distributive
democracy strengthening, which implies the protection of the rights of citizens by the
State, having the duty to guarantee the honesty and suitability of the professional services
offered to the public in the field of the sociology.
