THE REGIONAL VARIABLE IN THE PROCESS OF COLOMBIAN DIALOGUE

Abstract

As part of the dialogue process between the Colombian government and the FARC, we
examine the impact of policies on the borders Uribe South American states as regional
variable that contributes to shaping an environment conducive to the start of that process.
The working hypothesis argues that the complexity of the situations of shared border
security helped clarify the need for dialogue.
