Abstract
This article proposed to analyze in depth the reasons that Brazil currently leads the
resumption of negotiations between Mercosur and European Union. Furthermore, in order
to show the domestic sectors and economic corporations that promote this association, the
position of the government offices and finally, the stresses present in Brazil’s international
strategy and the process of regional integration in South America.
