Abstract

This essay postulates a definition of “grassroots economies” as an attempt to understand how poor survive in differente historical moments. Beyond their role in the market, these strategies reproduce inequalities in order to livelihood. Mutual helps networks and specifically women actions have playes an important historical role to keep home economies and livelihood strategies.
