Abstract
This article considers the conflicts among peasants regarding the utilization of
natural resources, such as forest and wood in Península de Osa, located in South
Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Different points of view of the social and political
actors, such as peasants, governmental institutions and non profit organizations
has been studied.
As main conclusion is worth mentioning that the conflict will not come to an
end if the local actors as well as some national and international ones don t try
to get basic agreements looking for socio- economics and environmental
strategies to solve problems and essential needs of the people.
