Abstract
The article reflects on the academic and social contributions of what we call a feminist and participatory methodology, that is, one that articulates the foundations of gender theory with critical Latin American perspectives —IAP and popular education—. To do this, it describes and analyzes two field investigations in women’s prisons in Argentina and Mexico (2015-2020), highlighting the transformative potential this perspective has in the daily lives of women prisoners.
