Abstract

This article relates Raymond Aron’s position regarding the positivistic scope of history. It also treats about the importance of a philosophy of history, so as to attempt the search of a global synthesis of history itself, all these in contrast with the deterministic positions including not only those utopian but also those fatalistic as well.
