Vol. 42 No. 1 (2024)
Published January 31, 2024

The Journal Revista de Ciencias Económicas (RCE) is a semi-annual, interdisciplinary, open access publication. The inspecting body of Revista de Ciencias Económicas is Universidad de Costa Rica. Since the second semester of 2021, the journal’s articles are published as soon as they are ready under the continuous publishing modality. The first number opens on January 1st and closes on June 30th. The second number opens on July 1st and closes on December 31st.

The journal’s objective is to disseminate the contributions of research developed by national and international academics. It was created to be a means of communication among specialists in the scientific community in a way that generates dialog between peers in different geographic regions about knowledge in economics. The journal’s target audience is national and international academics interested in economics. Consult our review system.

All the manuscripts submitted to RCE are subjected to a double-blind peer-reviewed evaluation process with national and international peers external to the journal. This process guarantees impartiality in the evaluation of the papers. The documents sent to RCE must be ORIGINAL and UNPUBLISHED. That means they must be the author’s intellectual property that has not been published in any other printed or digital journal, nor has it been simultaneously submitted to other publications or editorial bodies.

This journal covers areas of Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, and Public Management.  The journal is published online. Revista de Ciencias Económicas promotes access to scientific research as it does not have publication fees and makes articles available straight away after the original publication. RCE publishes research papers and technical notes from national and international researchers, both in Spanish and English. For more information, click here.
