Master in History from the University of Costa Rica. She is currently a professor of Cultural History at the School of General Studies and coordinates the Commission for the Bicentennial of Independence and the Enrique Macaya Lahmann Free Chair.
She has coordinated the History of Culture section and directs the Revista Estudios.
Throughout her career, she has taught courses such as the History of the Institutions of Costa Rica, the History of the Mentalities of Costa Rica and Latin America, and the History of Central America, among others.
She has written various articles on the history of culture, history of Costa Rica, human rights and on characters such as Rogelio Fernández G. and Marcelino García F. Among his latest books is El Castillo Azul: Ícono de un Cambio de era.
