Abstract
In this essay we will resume critically the concepts of hybridity from the foundational texts of Canclini, Bhabha and Confiant (and others). So we will achieve a transareal perspective that describes these concepts by the authors above mentioned, because these are concepts that are developed and acknowledge in the Spanish speaking countries of Latinamerica as well as the English/French speaking countries, either in the ancient colonial metropolis or in the Caribbean. This critical perspective on these texts will ask whether these discourses of hybridity set up sometimes a grand récit that produces cultural generalisations, omissions and exclusions. Therefore with this discussion we believe that we can illustrate the future of this concept which has already removed the essencialism explained in the mestizaje discourse.Comments
