Abstract
This article discusses the way in which Costa Rican dictionaries have defined folklore narrative beings. These lexicographical documents have been despised by those who know about the oral tradition in popular cultures. Furthermore, those experts have argued that these elaborations are focused on superstitions and fantasies. For this reason, to overcome this situation it is proposed a lexicographical definition that respects the truthfulness that those communities claim to the traditional knowledge on the folklore beings, based on the theory of supernatural beliefs.##plugins.facebook.comentarios##
