Resumen
Este artículo procura comparar y contrastar la subjetividad representada en la literatura y construida en la frontera: locaciones geopolíticas, físicas e imaginarias que han posicionado identidades en el margen a través de la historia. El análisis comparativo examina la representación de estas identidades marginalizadas en textos literarios específicamente aquellos escritos por autores pertenecientes a culturas marginalizadas como la Cubano-Americana, con el texto de “Bilingual Blues” de Gustavo Pérez-Firmat y “La encrucijada” de la autora Mexicana-Americana Gloria Anzaldúa, entre otros mencionados en la bibliografía. El estudio demuestra que la subjetividad y la subalternidad representadas en los textos contienden con diversos discursos de poder y estructuras políticas que tienden a reprimir y a delimitar el desarrollo de los personajes y su condición como seres humanos que viven en los Estados Unidos.
