RLM-078-2020
Dear authors and readers:
In session 02-2020 of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Modern Languages (JML), held on May 7 of this year, the decision was taken to restructure the sections of the Journal.
Beginning June 1, 2020, interested authors may submit their proposals to the following sections: Studies in Linguistics, Studies in Literature, Studies in Didactics of Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies.
The most relevant changes are: 1. The delimitation of the Cultural Studies section, which will receive manuscripts related to culture from a perspective of foreign languages and literatures; 2. The transfer of the Creation section, which - starting in 2021 - will become a blog on the website of the School of Modern Languages. Details about this new space will be specified in the course of the current year.
Manuscripts submitted to the Creation section before June 1, 2020 will follow the double blind evaluation process; and, if accepted, they will be published in the following numbers of the RLM.
Finally, it is worth noting that this reform is due to the improvement processes started two years ago, and with which we are committed in order to consolidate the best available standards for academic publications.
Sincerely,
M.L. Veronica Murillo Chinchilla
