Abstract
This article has a twofold objective: on the one hand to highlight the usefulness that modern multimedia tools can offer to the teaching of foreign languages and on the other, it aims at emphasizing the fruitful relationship that can be established between these didactic “innovations” and the activity of teaching languages for specific purposes. Specifically, our goal is to analyze the use of the tool Webquest within a language class where the field of tourism is tackled because it is one of the most interesting areas when it comes to addressing the issue of specialized languages. In addition, it is worth pointing out the strong demand for Spanish courses in tourism on the part of large groups of students, both within the academic context and within the professional and school framework.
