Abstract

The goal of this article is to discuss a short conversation between two participants with a close social relationship. The realization of the analysis is centered around the basic principals of J. Austin's theory of speech acts, P. Grice's cooperative principle, J. Searle's indirect speech acts and P. Brown and S. Levinson's politeness theory.
