Resumo
As emoções e os sentimentos estão presentes em todos os aspectos de nossa vida, inclusive no esporte e na atividade física. Especialmente no tênis, por ser um esporte individual e por suas características de jogo, muitas emoções são vivenciadas. Se estivermos falando de jogadores jovens ou em fase de formação, eles também são muito influenciados emocionalmente por seus pais. Para realizar uma análise mais confiável e objetiva dos sentimentos e emoções relacionados à prática do tênis do que as realizadas até o momento, aplicamos a metodologia de análise sentimental combinada com uma análise qualitativa para proporcionar maior qualidade aos resultados obtidos. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas pessoais com 9 jogadores de tênis e 8 pais, que foram transcritas e analisadas com o pacote “Syuzhet” na linguagem de programação R. Os resultados mostraram que as emoções mais relatadas pelos jogadores e seus pais foram as positivas, no caso, confiança e expectativa, que estavam ligadas às relações sociais vivenciadas no tênis, bem como à prática do esporte e aos valores que ele transmite. Por outro lado, foram demonstradas emoções negativas, como tristeza ou medo, relacionadas aos contextos de competição, decepção com o desempenho e empatia dos pais com o nervosismo dos filhos. Em geral, jogar tênis proporciona muitos benefícios emocionais, embora, quando levado ao extremo, possa acarretar certos riscos em uma idade precoce.
