Abstract
This article explore the studies of politic economic of the communication in Central America about economic elites that structure a new global scenario of the media system in the region. The Salvadoran case pretend illustrate a methodology to relate the media sphere concrete and centralized in the town with high economic activity, on the basic of the hypotheses of radio and television hegemonic in El Salvador reproduces class relations in the territories, while community media emerge in areas of less economic activity. Later, it is proposed to extend the analysis by studying the socially structured contexts and processes where the symbolic forms are inserted to board a new social and cultural structure in the region.
