Abstract
In this paper I seek to outline how artistic experience may be a source of aesthetic research. In my case, poetry emerged as an aesthetic intuition regarding the essence of poetry, music, dance... Alfonso López Quintá’s study on The Transfigurative Power of Art gave me the clue to: the unity of artistic experience; the affinity existing between artistic, philosophical and religious experience; artistic experience as fidelity; beauty as a living revelation of moral attitudes; and beauty as a relational phenomenon. Poetic intuition and subsequent reflection led to my research on art and person as a poetics of unity in the person of the artist (a corporeal-spiritual being) and artwork (sound and sense in poetry).
