ORFEO Y SĀVITRĪ: VERSIONES DE UN PROTOMITO INDOEUROPEO EN LA TRADICIÓN CLÁSICA

Abstract

This paper consists on a study of the mythical motif of Orpheus’ descensus ad inferos in the framework of classicaltradition, to which end it seeks a new perspective in India, a culture that seems to have much more answers to theWest than one could have foreseen, all of this through the contrast with and Indian version of the motif in the mythof Sāvitrī, present in the Mahābhārata.
