Abstract
This article analyses costumbrist article “El panorama”, from salvadorian Arturo Ambrogi. It seeks to provide a contribution to the story of the optical devices of the popular central american culture optical devices, area of research that needs be consolidated in the near future. In order to accomplish this goal, El panorama will be understood as a social document that allow to comprehend the social and cultural aspects of tutilimundis. In particular, the analysis is focused on the itinerant personality of the spectacle, on the social condition of its owner, on the reception and consumption conditions of this device (closer to the stereoscopy), as well as its insertion in the popular salvadorian festivity at the end of the XIX centuryComments
