The Anuario del Centro de Investigación y Estudios Políticos uses different media for the preservation of its digital contents.

The files used at different stages of our review and editing process are backed monthly by our team. More specifically, we have three methods or backing up this information: 1) two physical hard drives located at our offices in the Centro de Investigación y Estudios Políticos; 2) a digital backup in Dropbox and 3) another digital backup at Google Drive.

This allows our Editorial Team members to consult all actualized files of our editorial process and guarantees the presence of up-to-date information of our activities to avoid any losses in case of technological accidents.

Additionally, since 2010, all scientific and academic production developed by the University of Costa Rica - including the articles published here - is stored, preserved and disseminated through the Kerwa Repository.

The authors retain all of their intellectual property rights over their respective articles. Therefore, they are allowed to deposit copies of the different versions of their papers, such as submitted versions, accepted versions or published versions of their manuscripts, in institutional and other repositories of their choice, without embargo. This is permitted as long as their is no conflict with the rules of originality set forth by our Editorial Guidelines.
